The best images are the ones that retain their strength and impact over the years, regardless of the number of times they are viewed.
— Anne Geddes

You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.
— Ansel Adams

I am a simple gal who loves taking portraits and spending time with my husband and family. (On May 1st 2014 we welcomed our first child.) I have been a photographer for 10 years, throughout that time specializing in children, seniors, weddings as well as my personal passion nature photography. I have a degree in Biology/Ecology, and participated in projects with Fish and Wildlife, Chaffee Zoo, and Sierra Foothill Conservancy.

Even though my life has taken me down many paths, I always find myself drawn to my love for photography. To accomplish this, I would like to help families capture their legacy. Growing up we had pictures here and there, the only formal ones were Easter when I was 5 with two younger sisters. I remember looking through my grandmother's photos and asking about who the people were. I realized that my children will not have that same experience. I grew up in an era of Polaroids, 220 film and disposable cameras, all not having good light and easily degrade over time. Now we are in an era of camera phones and digital photos which can be lost in an instant on your computer. I want to be able to pass on something tangible to them. It was hard to place photos around my home, but as I look back it wouldn't feel like a home without them.

I would love to help you capture your legacy.
